Tasting Notes

The Dalmore 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured for the first nine years in ex-bourbon casks before being split between oloroso sherry casks and American oak for the final three years. The nose opens with aromas of citrus zest, chocolate, and spice layered with vanilla and roasted coffee. On the palate, it is rich and balanced, offering flavors of orange marmalade, toffee, and dried fruit complemented by cinnamon, nutmeg, and subtle oak. The texture is smooth and rounded, leading into a long, elegant finish of cocoa, sherried fruit, and gentle spice.

Food Pairings

As a starter, pair it with smoked salmon, roasted almonds, or charcuterie. For a main course, it complements roasted duck, grilled lamb chops, or beef stew. In the cheese course, blue cheese, aged gouda, or manchego balance its richness. For dessert, it pairs beautifully with dark chocolate tart, sticky toffee pudding, or crème brûlée.
