Michter’s US*1 Toasted Barrel Sour Mash Whiskey is a limited release that builds on their signature Sour Mash, finished in custom toasted barrels for added depth and complexity. The nose opens with aromas of caramel, vanilla, and honey layered with toasted oak, baking spice, and a touch of cocoa. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, offering flavors of toffee, roasted nuts, cinnamon, and dark chocolate balanced by citrus peel, clove, and subtle smoke from the toasted oak. The texture is velvety and rounded, showing both sweetness and spice. The finish is long and warming, leaving lingering notes of caramel, oak, and spice with a toasted edge.
