Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey (2022 Release) is part of Buffalo Trace’s Antique Collection, bottled uncut and unfiltered at barrel strength. The nose opens with bold aromas of caramel, vanilla, and honey, layered with black pepper, cinnamon, and clove. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied, delivering flavors of toffee, baking spice, roasted nuts, and dark fruit balanced by citrus peel and oak. The high proof brings intensity while retaining a rich, velvety texture. The finish is exceptionally long, leaving lingering notes of spice, caramel, and seasoned oak with a warming, peppery kick.
