Buchanan’s Red Seal is the house’s prestige expression, crafted as a tribute to founder James Buchanan and inspired by the blend originally created for British royalty over a century ago. The nose is refined and layered, offering aromas of honey, citrus zest, and dried fruit lifted by subtle floral notes. On the palate, it is exceptionally smooth and full-bodied, with flavors of vanilla, toffee, and rich malt balanced by gentle oak spice, sherry sweetness, and a touch of smoke. The finish is long and elegant, leaving behind honeyed malt, oak, and lingering fruit.

Food Pairings

As a starter, it pairs beautifully with smoked oysters, seared scallops, or Iberico ham. For a main course, it complements roasted pheasant, beef tenderloin with herb butter, or lamb shank braised in red wine.
