Colonel E.H. Taylor Straight Rye is crafted from a mash bill of rye and malted barley with no corn, staying true to pre-Prohibition style whiskey. The nose opens with aromas of rye spice, caramel, and fresh oak accented by dried fruit and pepper. On the palate, it is bold yet balanced, offering flavors of honey, toffee, and vanilla layered with cinnamon, clove, and dark cherry. The texture is smooth and warming, leading into a long finish of oak, rye spice, and subtle sweetness.
