Mitchell & Son Yellow Spot 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey matured in a unique combination of ex-bourbon barrels, sherry butts, and Malaga wine casks. The nose opens with aromas of honey, apricot, and toasted oak layered with dried fruit, vanilla, and baking spice. On the palate, it is rich and complex, offering flavors of toffee, roasted nuts, cocoa, and orchard fruits balanced by cinnamon, clove, and a touch of wine-driven sweetness. The Malaga cask influence adds depth with notes of fig, raisin, and subtle red fruit. The finish is long and elegant, leaving lingering notes of caramel, fruit, and gentle spice.
