Sazerac Rye, often called “Baby Saz,” is Buffalo Trace’s signature straight rye whiskey, typically aged around 6 years. The nose opens with aromas of vanilla, honey, and light caramel accented by citrus peel, anise, and baking spice. On the palate, it is smooth and medium-bodied, offering flavors of toffee, cinnamon, clove, and pepper balanced by sweet corn and subtle herbal notes. The rye grain provides brightness and spice while keeping the profile approachable. The finish is medium to long, with lingering notes of caramel, oak, and peppery spice.
